The RoboClaw 2x60A and 2x60AHV motor controllers have been redesigned with new MOSFETs. The updated parts are built to handle far more current than the board’s 120A peak rating, giving both models greater headroom and better cooling for demanding, high-current motor applications.

The RoboClaw 2x60A and 2x60AHV have been updated with new MOSFETs that improve both performance and durability. The new parts are considerably overbuilt for the application: they use the same class of high-current MOSFETs found in controllers rated up to 300A, running well within their limits at the 2x60A’s 120A peak. That large margin means the controllers stay comfortably inside the MOSFETs’ ratings even during the toughest moments, such as a stalled motor or a sudden change of direction.
The new MOSFETs also use a different package than the previous design, which lets the onboard heatsink draw heat out of them more effectively. The improved cooling allows the controllers to run longer at high current, and it reduces wear on the internal components caused by high temperatures and repeated thermal cycling.
